Emigrants helped disabled Pskov children

The website, created by Americans originally from Saint Petersburg, helped collect almost 4K for the disabled children.

Accordign to Tatyana Bodrova, the assistant chairman of the regional chapter of the Russian Children Fund, this all became possible thanks to the help of our expants. Their first acquaintance happened in the fall of 2008, when the visitors came to the Idrica's boarding school, located in the Shushkovo village (Sebezh county) - they used to be residents of Saint Petersburg, but for different reasons moved to the United States. This visit left a deep impression, and their first priority upon return was to help the disabled children.

This is how the idea was born to develop and launch a website that would tell about the lives of those kids. Its authors had a specific goal in mind - to collect money for the Shushkovo boarding school. In May 2009 the website was launched and by the end of the year first serious donations came through.
