We transferred our next sum of money amounting to $4300 to the account
of the Children Foundation. Hundred percent of that money (as well as
additional funds received from other charity organizations) are spent
on the commercial washing machine for the laundry room of Idrica's
boarding school. Prior to this, all clothe, bed linen, bedspreads, and
many other belongings of the 80 kids, were washed using two domestic
machines that could not timely complete that much work.

September 2009
Another visit to Shushkovo. That time I brought with me two 10 years
old children, daughters of my St. Petersburg friends - Masha and
Nastya. We bought 100 servings of ice cream in Idrica for the
orphanage children. That made them very-very happy! Besides that, we
brought a ton of color pencils, crayons, markers, coloring books,
needle-work kits, beading kits and beads, puzzles, and lots of other
little things. The children were grabbing and tearing things out of
our hands! Unfortunately, there still was not enough for everyone ...

Июнь 2009
At the beginning of June I went to Shushkovo and took pictures of the
children and also of the buildings, the grounds, and the surrounding
areas. You can see the poor conditions of those things ...

The website Shushkovo.org, that tells the story of Indrica's boarding school for orphans left without
parental guidance and its problems, is now open for public and functioning.
Many pages are not fully developed yet, but I am working on improving them.
